They have been able to teach at the level that our children are at and progress as appropriate for them.  Matt's teaching is very detail oriented and he also makes sure you know the "why" of what you are doing.  Generally, bigger guys are not as technique oriented as he is.      Self defense has been taught in several classes, not just sport jiu jitsu.     Also, clean and beautiful facility.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve trained at several 10th Planet locations in Colorado and this place is a gem! It can be hard as a 125lbs woman to find a safe and fun place to learn BJJ. At first I was a little intimidated because the men are athletic and large. I was fearful that I might  be smashed like a bug on their mats but I was pleasantly surprised with how well I am accommodated and protected. I’ve rolled with several of their coaches as well as classmates. Everyone was very respectful, safe and fun to learn with/from. The Owner, Matt Paul aka Monster Matt is an amazing instructor. He really helped me understand how and where to take next steps in elevating my skills in areas I’ve been struggling with that coaches at other gyms have not been able to help me understand and refine. He is an incredible coach and leader. He also has a big heart and gives back to the community. His coaching team spends time with the local schools teaching kids the art of BJJ, wrestling and other combat sports. I’ve personally seen what a difference they make in the community. The Longmont High School Wrestling team has elevated significantly with their coaching support and they won their first completion of the season 54 to 18.  In addition, they helped raise $6k for the high school’s wrestling program. The coaching team is top tier with Olympic level wrestler, Ryan Lyons and along with other very accomplished coaches with excellent skills and teaching abilities. Unlike other gyms I trained at, this crew’s skill set matches or exceeds their belt rank and are truly great teachers and practitioners in BJJ. It’s truly a privilege to have the opportunity to train and get to know such a great group of people on and off the mats!

I get everything I need: detailed drilling, context focused live drills, wrestling, hard rolls, and a community to embrace. Whether you're a green noob or a grizzled veteran, Head Coach Matt, Wrestling Coach Ryan, and myself will diagnose and refine what skillsets are already there, and then build further upon that base, all while having a great time!

A Fantastic Experience at 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu Littleton My child recently started training at 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu Littleton, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From the very beginning, the level of instruction, patience, cleanliness, and dedication from Coach Matt stood out in the best way possible. Coach Matt has a unique teaching style that’s both structured and incredibly effective. The way he breaks down techniques allows my child to pick up the finer details with surprising ease, which has been amazing to witness. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about my child's development  — not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. The environment is clean, safe, and welcoming, and it quickly became a place my kiddo looks forward to going each week. The impact on confidence level, focus, and enthusiasm has already been noticeable. There's no pressure, no gimmicks and Coach Matt encourages anyone and everyone to come try them out to ensure it's a good fit, before deciding to join.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This place is special.  I'm so excited and grateful to have such an impactful and effective jujitsu school in Littleton.  After years of wanting to try, I finally mustered the courage to try jujitsu. And what a surprise, the gentle warriors teaching are highly knowledgeable, caring, and passionate teachers.  I highly recommend that first-timers give this place a try.  Although the student body appears to be full of disciplined and hardened warriors, they are all happy to help the new student.  And Coach Matt is special, look him up!  He has practiced and fought in all kinds of martial arts forms, including wrestling, sambo, MMA, and even wrestling Sumo warriors in Japan.  I signed up today and can't wait to get started. Thank you, Coach Matt and Crew, I'm looking forward to joining you on the mats. Welcom and thank you for coming to Littleton!
